I had a great time at aXXIdental!

Got to sing my hobbit-songs to a captive (and appreciative) audience.
Heard some excellent musicians and lots of new (and old, but new to me) songs!
Ate mediocre food and drank very good real ale.
Once again, did not go into the pool or spa.
Witnessed a cracker-jack live performance by Ookla the Mok.  What a fantastic band!  Witty and clever, musical and irreverent... Check them out HERE (and don't skip the intro!)
A great set by Hitch  (highstone ) and Friends...with saxophones, clarinet and assorted other instruments and voices.  The "Minnie the Moocher" filk was (or should be) a classic.  And a lovely sentimental solo about leaving your old life for a new love...so pretty.
Talis Kimberly was wonderful as always.  What an amazing talent for song-writing.  I will be checking out her new CD "The Hearth and the HIve" - especially since she has promised that her song about Leonardo Da Vinci will be on it!
The highlight of the weekend had to be the "Before the Dawn Extravaganza" - a true labor of love for all involved.  Marvelous!
Didn't make any of the late-night circles.  Again.  They're just...too late night for this early bird!
Enjoyed chatting with old friends and meeting some new people.
Felt very included and "part of things!"
Am now inspired to start writing songs again...more hobbits, perhaps?  Someone asked me why I didn't have a song about Fatty Bolger...

'Twas good to see you there again. =:o} I missed all but one of the hobbit songs, alas. I must cure these pesky addictions to food and drink... =:o\
